Chairman Dan Kane’s co-elebrity revealed details of the young skeleton crew left to protect Al Udeid Air Force Base as he faced an incoming barrage of Iranian missiles on Monday.
“I believe this is the biggest single patriot involvement in US military history,” Caine said, referring to the US surface-to-air missile defense system. “We have Qatar Patriot Cruises on this engagement.”
Kane said 44 soldiers were based between the ages 21 and 28 after being evacuated. They were only left with two patriot systems to protect the base, the main headquarters in the Middle East and home to 10,000 deployed American soldiers.
“You are the first of those young EUs. You are 25 or 26 years old and you are assigned to a tactical supervisor within the elements of command and control. You are at that age, responsible for defending this base,” Kane said.

He did not say whether any of the Iranian missiles had passed through the Patriots’ defense system. Catalis claims that one missile penetrated the air defense.

Iran used short and medium range ballistic missiles to attack the Aldead air base, but no casualties have been reported.

The Al-udeid base will serve as a hub for logistics operations for the US mission to combat ISIS in Iraq and Syria. It also hosts the front headquarters of Central Command and its area’s air force and special operations. It is also used as the headquarters for British involvement in airstrikes against Iraqi ISIS.
