A San Bernardino County family is completely devastated by the loss of their 21-year-old son, who is also the father of two young children. Her son was hit and killed by not one, but two cars. accident.

“He went to my son and when he spoke to him, he was still alive,” Christina said, fighting back tears. “He simply told them that help was on the way, that he had already called the police, and that he had just started praying with his son. Michael and his high school sweetheart Bernice Aguilar have two children together, 1-year-old daughter Aliyah and newborn son Jeremiah. The young family was just starting their life together.
“He was a really good father,” Aguilar told KTLA. “He helped me so much. I went through both C-sections and he was there for me. Because he really was there for me. , I fell in love with him all over again.”
For now, Aguilar and Christina say they can’t imagine life without Michael or his children without their father.
“We feel like he’s about to walk through that door,” his mother said. “It doesn’t feel real.”
Michael’s family described him as a very loving father and ambitious man. He always wanted to do better for those around him and was determined to get a home for his new family.
Upland detectives are investigating the hit-and-run incident, and although no arrests have been made in the case, authorities said they will release more information Thursday.
