It’s the second time in a month and the third time since 2023, the owner of the Central Los Angeles Tour Company is pleaning for help in protecting his business.
LAPD said on both March 21 and April 18, officers responded to another side of their Los Angeles tour at 1080 La Cienega Boulevard in Carte for reports of the robbery.
“My Good Friday starts with a call from the police station and says my office has broken,” owner Kenneth Lipman said. “It’s not Good Friday for me.”
In this latest intrusion, Lipman told KTLA’s Carlos Sauced that the burglars have escaped three e-bikes worth up to $2,500, causing thousands more damages.
“They were throwing bricks at my front door at 3am,” Lipman said.
Surveillance video captured the suspect throwing bricks through a glass window and the moment he later left on three electric Segways.
“We have to put it in a floor-to-ceiling gate to prevent this from happening in the future.
Another aspect of the Los Angeles tour is the tourism business that uses e-bikes and Segways to show off the best tourists in LA.
On March 21, a similar brick-based invasion occurred at the store, with two other e-bikes being stolen.
“These people rolled on another stolen bike and a clover was brought to it. I have it on the video. You’re joking me.” “We need to do something about this.”
Lipman said he felt helpless and wanted more support from city leaders and police.
