Members of the community held a clear candle vigil on Sunday evening, reporting that they were missing from the Yucaipa area last week in search of justice for seven-month-old boy Emmanuel Haro.
According to her mother, Rebecca Halo, Emmanuel was allegedly invited on Thursday night. Rebecca Halo said she was attacked outside the Big 5 Sporting Goods Store in the 34,000 block of Yucaipa Boulevard, a vigil at about 8pm tonight.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to NBC4 that detectives were at the Halo tribe’s home on Sunday as part of an ongoing investigation.
Rebecca Halo said the incident happened while preparing to change her son’s diaper.
“I took him out of my car seat and placed him on a chair. I had his diapers here and someone said ‘Horror’. I couldn’t look back and I remember nothing.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Halo has a two-year-old son.
According to SBSD, Rebecca “facing contradictions in her first statement and refused to continue the interview.” She was interviewed by law enforcement as part of the investigation, along with Emmanuel’s father Jake.
Emmanuel weighs about 21 pounds and is 24 inches tall. He has brown hair and eyes, and finally saw him wearing a Nike Onesie.
The attacker’s description was not available.
