During a major drug bust in Southern California, authorities discovered more than $100 million worth of marijuana.
On December 9, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputies executed a search warrant for an illegal marijuana grow operation at a residence in the 5000 block of Honey Hill Road in Oak Hills.
The 5-acre property included a newly constructed 120-foot by 40-foot metal building, authorities said.
Inside the metal building, investigators found more than 3,000 garbage bags filled with processed marijuana.
The piles were stacked over 12 feet high and lined throughout the building. Each garbage bag weighed between 30 and 50 pounds.
Over two days, Marijuana Enforcement Teams, San Bernardino County Law Enforcement Department, and California Department of Fish and Wildlife officers seized more than 90,000 pounds of marijuana, the equivalent of 51 truckloads, from a stash.
