REDONDO BEACH, Calif. (KTLA) – Redondo Beach police are investigating a shooting that sent a man and woman to the hospital Sunday, authorities confirmed to KTLA.
Redondo Beach Police Department officials said in a news release that officers responded to a report of a shooting just after 5 a.m. in the 2700 block of Vanderbilt Lane.
Police found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds at the scene.
Footage from the scene obtained by KTLA showed a heavy police presence, with sections of the sidewalk cordoned off with yellow police tape.

Details are extremely limited, including how the shooting unfolded, who pulled the trigger, and whether the men and women knew each other.
Authorities continue to investigate the matter, but said preliminary information suggests the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no longer a threat to the neighborhood.
