At least 11 people were taken to hospital after being shot Sunday night in a South Carolina beach town, authorities say.
Holly County Police did not give anyone any condition to injure or detail how he was injured in an incident that took place around 9:30pm on Little River.
Holly County Police said on social media that investigators have been receiving reports of them reaching hospitals in their own car.
Approximately 90 minutes after the shooting, police called it an isolated incident and said there was no risk to the community. They did not release any information about the possible suspects or what led to the shooting.
The shooting took place around a boat dock near the intracoastal waterway.
Videos from the scene show dozens of police cars and ambulances coming and going into the area.
According to North Smartle Beach spokesman Lauren Jesse, a North Smartle Beach police officer in response to the shooting accidentally responded to the shooting, shooting himself at the marina about three miles (5 km) away, and is in the hospital in a stable condition.
Little River is approximately 20 miles (32 km) northeast of Myrtle Beach.
