At least one person has been detained at Home Depot and the person who transferred between federal agents at Dodger Stadium on Thursday is a U.S. citizen who has since been released, reported Rataco.
“La Tacos confirmed that Job Garcia, a US citizen who was heavily detained by ICE/CBP in the Hollywood Home Depot attack, has been released this morning,” the outlet reported on social media.
The ongoing attacks in Southern California reportedly target undocumented immigrants, but there have been multiple instances in which citizens were swept as suspected immigrants and were detained for attempts to stand up to federal agents.
Protests against the immigrant attack extend to those deemed to support federal agents, with local law enforcement agencies (where state law prohibits them from aiding immigration issues) targeting angry Southern California residents who believe they work for ice and other federal agencies.
Many are angry with the Dodgers as the team has not yet been openly standing up for immigration. The team had planned to do so on Thursday, but delayed the announcement that morning after a visit from federal agents.
