Beware of fake lovebu gorgeous dolls.
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued an urgent warning on Monday about toys sometimes called “Roughfass,” which pose a serious risk of suffocation and death to young children.
The fakes are sold as gorgeous figures and keychains, small enough for a child to fit a doll in their mouths. CPSC has been reported that fake Labubus easily fall apart and releases small portions that could potentially be dangerous to suffocation.
Consumers are warned not to buy or dispose of counterfeits if they have already purchased them.
“These fake Labubu dolls are dangerous, illegal and have no place in American homes,” said Peter Feldman, CPSC representative. “You don’t have to wonder if a toy will stop your child from breathing. You don’t need to protect your child and buy only from a reputable seller.”
Importing and selling products that do not meet CPSC safety standards is illegal.
As cheap imitations grow in popularity, shipments to the US are being monitored.

CPSC has added five tips to ensure Labubu’s reliability:
Beware of bargains: Discounts can tell you fake products. The real Pop Mart Love Doll features holographic Pop Mart stickers, scannable QR codes linking to the official Pop Mart site, and (in a new edition) subtle UV stamps on one foot. Fakes are often overly bright colours and incorrect teeth (real dolls have nine). Know your Seller: Buy only from trusted stores or online markets. Check safety labeling: For small parts toys, look for choking hazard warnings and independent safety certification marks.
