The dramatic footage released on Sunday captured the moment when multiple good Samaritans helped Fullerton police burn the man out of the car.

The tense scene unfolded at 11:32am on Wednesday, May 21st, according to the Fullerton Police Department.

In this video, he drives to the smoky area in the 200 block of East Valencia Drive and finds two bystanders trying to break into a broken steamer.

Through his bodycam perspective, the officer is seen instructing one of the bystanders to escape while he and another officer work to break into the car.

The police then instructs a good Samaritan to help him pull the man out with his arm.

The footage from multiple perspectives shows officers and good Samaritans successfully drag the man out of a burning car and bring him safely before the emergency services arrive.

“The driver who had been experiencing a medical emergency was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment,” Fullerton PD said in an Instagram post. “This event demonstrates the incredible spirit of our community and the individual willingness to intervene in times of crisis.”

Authorities did not immediately provide any updates on the patient’s condition or any further information on how the car crashed or began smoking.
