Charges will be filed Monday against the ex-wife of a Woodland Hills doctor who was killed outside his office in August, the Los Angeles Police Department announced.

Police said Ahan Mirshoje, 53, is suspected of being one of several people accused of involvement in the doctor’s murder.

Mirshoje was arrested and charged with murder Thursday after investigators spent several hours searching his Calabasas home.

Court records show Mirshoje and her ex-husband have been embroiled in multiple costly legal disputes over the years, including an ongoing battle in 2024 over the settlement of a divorce from more than a decade ago. .

Months before his death, Dr. Mirshoje won a nearly $6 million judgment against his former lawyer.

Investigators have not confirmed that these events are related to the murder.

The ex-wife’s attorney declined to provide any information or comment on the matter.

Detectives have made five arrests in total, and the first of at least two criminal cases are beginning to reveal what police and prosecutors believe happened.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney also filed special circumstances murder charges against Evan Hardman, the man who allegedly used his personal gun to shoot and kill a doctor.

Four other people were also charged, including 26-year-old Sarala Joad, who was taken to arraignment court in downtown Los Angeles.

Dr. Hamid Mirshoje was shot and killed in August as he left his emergency clinic on Topanga Canyon Boulevard in the San Fernando Valley.

Detectives said at the time that they believed he was a particular target of the attack.
