The grieving family of an 83-year-old woman killed in a West Hollywood crash last month says the loss of their matriarch is too much to bear.

Esther Abu-Abu was killed in a car accident on October 10th while she and her husband were traveling near the intersection of Fountain Avenue and Spalding Avenue. There, the couple and another driver collided, pushing their car into the parking lot, leaving Abu-Abu dead on the spot and her husband seriously injured.

“My mother was very full of life. She loved to sing and dance, she was an artist, and her whole expression was on display every day,” said Abu-Abu’s son, Greg Morris.

According to Morris, his parents were married for more than 50 years. Currently, his father continues to recover from the accident that claimed the life of his beloved wife.

“We will all go through life with a gaping hole in our hearts and with our poor father…Words cannot describe the pain and suffering he will have to live with for the rest of his life. No,” Morris said. . “It’s really devastating.”

The other driver, identified as social media influencer Garrett Bruno, is currently facing multiple charges including murder, reckless driving, and assault on a peace officer.

“We’re not in a good place,” Morris said. “My family is completely devastated by the senseless and violent murder of our precious mother. She was the glue of our family and the very center of our world.”

NBC4 has reached out to Bruno’s attorney for comment.
