Three men were arrested Monday after a home invasion robbery sparked two separate high-speed chases in Ventura County, authorities said.
The Dec. 16 incident began in the early morning hours when a Ventura County Sheriff’s Department deputy responded to a report of a home invasion in the unincorporated area of Oxnard known as Hollywood Beach.
According to a VCSD news release, officers spotted Jordan Corrales, 23, a known parolee from Oxnard, leaving the area in a vehicle and began a pursuit.
“The pursuit was terminated due to Mr. Corrales’ erratic driving and willful disregard for the public,” authorities said in a statement.

Several hours later, with assistance from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s Adult Protection Division, deputies were able to locate the 23-year-old boy in a vehicle with two additional suspects inside. The suspects were identified as 19-year-old Alfonso Corrales and a 24-year-old boy. Old Man Michael Gomez, both of Oxnard.
It’s unclear whether the suspects were in the same vehicle as in the previous pursuit, but authorities said a 23-year-old man was behind the wheel and attempted to flee the scene a second time, leading the pursuit from Camarillo to Oxnard. That’s what it means.
A VCDA helicopter helped track the vehicle, and officers from the Oxnard Police Department assisted in the pursuit as the suspects entered Oxnard.

Corrales stopped the vehicle in the residential area of Escalon Drive and Outsail Place, and all three men attempted to flee on foot, but were arrested by authorities.
Jordan Corrales, who is being held on $500,000 bail, was arrested on charges of escape, robbery and parole violation. Alfonso Corrales, who is being held on $25,000 bail, was arrested for loitering, resisting arrest, carrying a concealed dagger and having an outstanding arrest warrant.
Gomez was released on $40,000 bail, but was arrested on charges of resisting arrest and criminal conspiracy.
Jordan and Alfonso are scheduled to appear in court on December 18th.
