NBC News reports that a lawsuit filed in October against Sean “Diddy” Combs for raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 has been filed against rap icon and entrepreneur Jay-Z (real name Sean). Carter) was reinstated on Sunday.
According to the accuser, identified only as “Jane Doe,” the assault occurred at an MTV Music Awards afterparty.
The alleged victim was dropped off by a friend outside Radio City Music Hall, where the VMAs were occurring. Since she didn’t have a ticket, she reportedly approached several limousine drivers in an attempt to get into the event or attend the afterparty.
NBC reported that one of the drivers worked for Combs and told the girl, who was 13 at the time, that she was a “good fit” for what Combs was looking for. At the end of the evening, he put the girl back in his car and drove 20 minutes to a “white house with a U-shaped driveway.”

According to the complaint, the girl signed what appeared to be a non-disclosure agreement, but did not receive a copy before attending a party attended by celebrities who were reported to be using cocaine and marijuana.
Tony Buzbee, a Texas attorney who filed several lawsuits against Mr. Combs in the Southern District of New York, said he gave Jane Doe a drink that caused her to “be dizzy, light-headed, and… It makes me feel sick,” he claims. [like] She needed to lie down,” NBC reported.
After she found a room to rest, at some point the rapper and an unidentified female celebrity entered with Combs and told her, “We’re ready to party!”
Carter then allegedly removed the girl’s clothes, held her down and raped her while Combs and the woman watched. She further claimed that Combs raped her after Carter and the woman watched.
“The complaint says Combs forced her to perform oral sex on him by punching her in the neck, but she was able to resist and Combs “stopped,” NBC News reported.
Doe, who is seeking unspecified damages, said she grabbed her clothes, left the party, headed to a gas station and called her father.
NBC News reports that the accuser’s attorney notified Carter in a letter before the lawsuit was refiled and requested mediation to “resolve this matter,” in response to which the star rapper He said he filed his own lawsuit against Carter’s attorney.
Neither Buzbee nor representatives for Carter and Combs immediately responded to requests for comment, according to NBC News.
But in a scathing statement released on Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation’s Instagram, the rap superstar acknowledged the lawsuit, saying he received a “demand letter” from Buzbee and calling it “attempted blackmail.” said.
“He calculated that the nature of the allegations and the intense public scrutiny would make me want to settle,” the statement reads in part. “No, sir. It had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for your fraud in public. So, no, I won’t give you a single red penny! !”
The statement continued: “Due to the extremely heinous nature of these allegations, we implore that criminal charges be filed rather than civil lawsuits!! No one commits such crimes against minors. Whoever did this should be locked up. Don’t you agree?” If so, then these alleged victims deserve real justice. ”
Combs was indicted by federal prosecutors in September in a massive extortion and sex trafficking case and is currently being held without bail at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
The trial is scheduled for May 5th.
