The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 will be held in the US, including Los Angeles, with home teams having the opportunity to secure their final spot in the international tournament.
The Club World Cup, which begins on June 14th, will feature 32 teams for the first time (63 total matches across the competition), and will be held at 12 venues across the country.

MetLife Stadium is scheduled to hold its final on July 13th. The venues selected for the tournament (TQL Stadium, Geodis Park, Inter & Co Stadium, Audi Field) are soccer-specific stadiums for Major League Soccer Teams Cincinnati, Nashville SC, Orlando City and DC United.

Angelenos is looking for a snack as seven of the world’s best teams will play in the Rose Bowl. Tournament officials say matches at the well-known venues are scheduled for June 15th, 17th, 19th, 21st, 23rd and 25th. The team is as follows: Paris Saint-Germain (France). Atletico de Madrid (Spain); Botafogo (Brazil); CF Monterrey (Mexico); Riverboard (Argentina); Inter Milan (Italy) and Urawa Red Diamond (Japan).
However, as LAFC is about to win the 32nd final spot, Los Angeles will have the opportunity to send one of the city to the tournament. But what’s getting in their way is the Mexican Giants Club America, one of the most successful and renowned clubs in the country.

“This is a must-see match for the two Giants,” Club World Cup officials said in a media release issued Tuesday. “This play-in is more than just a game. It’s the last ticket to the global stage and the chance to become a world-uncontroversial champion.”
The winner of the LAFC-América Matchup fills the final spot in Group D. This already includes Chelsea (England). Flamengo (Brazil) and Esperance de Tunis (Tunisia). The lucky team that won the competition will win a total of $125 million in prize money.

Luckily enough for fans, the LAFC and América play-in match, scheduled to kick off May 31st at 7:30pm at BMO Stadium, can be streamed for free on Dazn, as well as all 63 matches held at this year’s Club World Cup. For US viewers, matches are available in English and Spanish in TBS and Univision, respectively.
If LAFC wins (their third match ended in a draw as they have had two times against América in the past), they will be the third MLS side to participate in Club World Cup 2025.

In league play this year, LAFC was sitting fourth in the MLS Western Conference, so it wasn’t too bad. The same cannot be said about Crosstown rival La Galaxy.
