The engineer with the Los Angeles Police Department’s bomb troops was below the overpass on Sylmer’s 210 highway in reports of suspected military weapons discovered there on Monday, authorities confirmed with KTLA.
Police said officers responded to the 11,800 block of Terravela before 12:30pm but could not say what kind of potential explosives or ammunition were seen.
Aerial footage of Sky5 showed at least four LAPD cruisers near the elevated tracks, with yellow crime scene tapes intimately hanging from the area where the bombers were working.
No evacuation was ordered and authorities said there was no threat related to the incident.

This is the third case of military weapons found in Los Angeles County in more than two weeks.
The hand-killed bullet, which was inertly murdered at the LA County Sheriff’s Department at the Bisskills Regional Training Center in East LA, was discovered by a Santa Monica woman who had cleaned the storage box in her apartment the day before.
Investigators believe the rena bullet was stolen from the US military by a former enlisted person. That case is ongoing.
Just a week later, the family, who was cleaning the home of the deceased relative, found what they believed to be a military weapon, brought the device to the Pacoima station in LAPD, urging them to investigate a bomb team with cooperation from the US military.
Authorities determined that the items were safe and the LAPD bomb squad packaged them for transport to a safe storage area. The US military was expected to gather them at a later date.
