Los Angeles County health officials are investigating confirmed cases of measles associated with international travelers who were infected while passing through LAX.
Travelers arrived on China Airlines Flight 008 on August 2 at Tom Bradley International Terminal, officials said. Anyone who was in Terminal B from 9:30pm on August 2nd to 12:35am on August 3rd could have been exposed.
Passengers sitting next to this person on the flight will be notified of the exposure by a local public health agency.

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health checks your vaccination status, monitor symptoms for 21 days, and encourages you to stay home if you develop symptoms.
“With measles outbreaks have been reported in both the US and overseas, it is important that everyone ensures they are fully vaccinated, especially before travel,” the department said.
Los Angeles County Health Officer Dr. Muntu Davis said measles are highly contagious in the air and on the surface, and can spread particularly easily among people who have not been vaccinated or have never had it in the past.
“Measles can lead to severe illness in young children and vulnerable adults. The best way to protect yourself and your family from infection is a highly effective measles vaccine,” Davis said.
