The man accused of killing his husband in “American Idol” executives and Encino, was officially charged with the death of the couple.
Raymond Boudarian, 22, is charged with two counts of first-degree home robbery and murder, in the deaths of Robin Kay and Thomas Deluca, whose bodies were found on July 14th.
Boudarian was originally expected to appear in Van Nice City Court on Thursday morning, but his arrest continued until August 20th, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Boodarian, a resident of Encino, is accused of shooting Kay and DeLuka at the couple’s home after breaking into the fence by jumping over the fence and entering through an unlocked door.
It is believed that a robbery occurred while the couple was away, but they returned to arrest him, arresting him for the act, leading to a violent struggle in which they shot and killed each of the 70-year-olds multiple times.
The actual murder could have happened on July 10th, when a neighbor first reported a robbery at his home.
According to TMZ, it is the music director of “American Idol” and her husband who was found shot and killed in a luxury Encino home on Monday afternoon. (Facebook/Robin Kaye)
“At a moment, the couple returned from the grocery store and were killed in their own home without any sense of killing,” district attorney Nathan Hochman said in a news release. “This tragic shooting has shaken the valley community and the notion that homes should be our safe sanctuary. Our thoughts and prayers go to their family and friends who are grieving this great loss.”
If convicted of being indicted, Boudarian faces the biggest prison sentence without the possibility of parole or the death penalty, but California has a permanent suspension of executions.
The Boudarian is being held without bail.
