Democrat California Gov. Gavin Newsom recently made several comments pointing to President Donald Trump’s relationship with sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein, who died.
Earlier this week, Newsom appeared on Shawn Ryan Show. The show was asked about the Trump administration not releasing the Epstein Files after vowing during a campaign to release such documents.
“For me, everything has always been a sideshow,” Newsom said. “But I thought Elon was really interesting. [Musk] A few weeks after I posted that tweet, suddenly, “Which file is it?”
Newsom mentioned the posts from X last month that Musk said Trump was “in Epstein’s files,” saying it was “the real reason why they weren’t public.” Musk, a former close ally of Trump before Spatt, has since made several posts criticizing the administration for not publishing Epstein’s “client list” or arresting him in connection with the Epstein case.

“When Elon put it out, I thought it was a big story,” Newsom said.
The California governor added that Trump and Epstein know each other and are quoting images and videos of the two men together.
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondy said earlier this year that Epstein’s “client list” was on her desk before the Justice Department, and that the FBI recently claimed that Epstein committed suicide and that there was no evidence that he held such a list. Bondi also returned the previous comments, saying it was referring to the Epstein Case file rather than the “client list”.
Trump has been trying to avoid the Epstein topic recently, repeatedly claiming that the issue is no longer the problem. He also said he no longer wanted support for the “weak” who keeps pushing Epstein’s case.

“Their new scam is what we’ll call Jeffrey Epstein’s hoax forever, and my past supporters have bought this ‘bulls–‘, hook, line and sinker,” Trump wrote in Truth Society on Wednesday.
“I have probably achieved more success in six months than the president in our country’s history. These people are Jeffrey Epstein’s Hoax, with a powerful plot by a hungered Dem of fake news and success,” he added. “Let these underdogs continue to move forward and do the Democrats’ work. Don’t even think about talking about our incredibly unprecedented success.

Trump said at the White House Wednesday that Bondy could release “anything you can trust” related to the Epstein case as he defended her work on the issue and criticised Republicans who still pushed for release of Epstein materials.
“He’s dead. He’s gone,” Trump said of Epstein. “And it’s Republicans, certain Republicans are fooled by Democrats, they’re following the Democratic playbook, and they’re not different from Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, and all the other hoaxes.”
Newsom recently made a series of social media posts that said Trump and Republicans refused to release information about the Epstein incident.
“Why do you try so hard to block a ‘non-existent’ list? ” Newsom responded to news Tuesday that House Republicans blocked Democrats’ efforts to force the release of the Epstein Files.
The Golden State Democrat also wrote a “retweet” in response to a 2019 post from conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.
In another post, the governor wrote that in response to a recent presidential clip, Trump said he doesn’t understand why the Epstein incident is interesting for everyone.

“It’s pretty boring,” Trump told reporters in the clip. “I think only bad people want to continue doing that.”
Newsom jokingly said he had forgotten Epstein’s files in response to Post Trump, which announced that he had agreed to use real cane sugar.
“Ah, thank you God! I’d completely forgotten the Epstein files now!” Newsom said Wednesday.
The governor posted a clip Wednesday, posting photos of Trump and Epstein together, and the lyrics to Nickelback’s song “Photo,” which says, “see this photo.”
“Nickelbach said that best,” Newsom wrote.
