One person was shot and killed during a robbery in Mid-City Friday morning, police said.
One suspect was taken into custody, but Los Angeles police were searching for two others believed to be involved, Police Officer Charles Miller said.
He said the shooting was reported at 10:13 a.m. near the intersection of Venice Boulevard and Hauser Boulevard.
KABC 7 video showed police and emergency personnel near a strip mall at the intersection.
The suspects are believed to have arrived at the scene in a Lexus ES.
Details of the incident are still unclear and under investigation, but Miller said the man was shot and killed during the robbery. Additional details about the deaths were not immediately available.
A man, described as a black man wearing all black and carrying a handgun, was taken into custody shortly after the shooting, Miller said.
Police are continuing to search for two other men believed to have been involved.
One of the men was described as a black or Latino man wearing a gray hoodie and yellow pants, Miller said. There was no description of the third suspect.
