Residents of Granada Hills and Porter Ranch restored water services Monday morning after nearly a week of going out.

However, boiling water notifications are still effective as there are still quality tests that the Los Angeles Water and Power Department needs to do.

LADWP said it expects the boiling water notification to be valid for several more days until the water quality test is completed and clearance is received from the state drinking water department.

Until it is completed, the customer will be asked to follow the instructions in the boiling water notification on ladwpnews.com.

“We would like to thank our customers for their patience and for their efforts in dangerous conditions and extremely hot weather,” LADWP said.

According to LADWP, the crew restored service to all customers at about 2:37 this morning, which was affected by a water outage as a result of a broken valve that required complicated repairs.

As of Monday, residents can use tap water to shower, flush toilets, and use water for landscaping and other home needs. For more information, residents can visit ladwp.com/waterquality.
