The San Bernardino County Fire Department announced its tragic death Wednesday morning.
A San Bernardino County firefighter paramedic Ryan Spandrio died in a traffic collision while on duty Tuesday, San Bernardino County firefighter said on social media.
The exact location and timing of the crash occurred was not disclosed.

Spandrio worked at 224 Fire Station in San Bernardino, the department said. He was said to have served his community “with honor, professionalism and courage.”

“[Ryan] He was a precious member of Fire Station 224 and a true civil servant who showed compassion and commitment to the community,” reads the department’s social media post.
He leaves his wife and children behind.
Funeral arrangements have not been announced yet.
