A San Bernardino County man was arrested on suspicion of driving an off-road vehicle through an intersection filled with children.
The suspect was identified as Jacob Vidana Delgado, 19, of Adelanto, according to the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Office.
On Friday night, around 5:30 p.m., a deputy observed the suspect driving a Polaris off-road vehicle near the intersection of Mojave Avenue and Alexandria Avenue in Adelanto.
Authorities said Vidana Delgado was traveling at a high rate of speed when she drove into a busy intersection filled with children at the time.
Officers attempted to stop the man, but he refused to yield, and authorities began pursuing him.
Officials said Vidana Delgado accelerated during the chase, drove at dangerous speeds with disregard for public safety and failed to stop at restricted intersections.
