Southern California has several chances for measurable rain this week and into the weekend.
The first chance will arrive Thursday as a northern storm moves down the coast.
“There’s a very good chance we’ll see some light to moderate rain tomorrow evening. Probably not much, but there will be an impact on land,” KTLA meteorologist Henry DiCarlo said Wednesday. told.
The KTLA Futurcast shows moisture moving into the Los Angeles area Thursday afternoon, with the seven-day forecast currently calling for a 40% chance of light rain.

The high pressure system is expected to subside and the skies are expected to return on Friday, but that won’t last long.
“A very strong storm will begin to move into the Northwest and Northern California on Saturday, with some of it moving south, potentially adding rain to the forecast late Saturday evening into Sunday morning.” Mr. Henry said.
This system could bring slightly more rain than Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
Precipitation totals still appear to be on the lighter side, around a quarter of an inch, in Ventura and Los Angeles counties, but “the most likely scenario is less than a tenth of an inch,” the weather service said.
Rain is possible until Monday, with another light shower possible.
