A Southern California woman has recalled the terrifying moment she was Tasered during an attempted kidnapping.

The incident occurred on Dec. 18, and the victim, Temecula resident Erin Quinn, said she was picking up toys to go to a local holiday toy drive.

That morning, she received a text message from an unknown number in the 213 area code. The sender of the text message was an older woman named Connie who claimed to have asked Quinn to pick up toys for a holiday toy drive she was participating in.

Quinn agreed to help and was told to meet the sender of the text message at a property on Memory Lane in Winchester.

When she arrived, she was walking to the front door when she received another message asking her to stay in her car because someone was taking her toys outside.

Quinn, who had left her car unlocked, took the obligatory walk back to the car before returning to the driver’s seat.

As soon as she sat down, she said someone grabbed her by the hair from behind the seat and attacked her. While she was away, someone sneaked into her car.

“Someone grabbed me by the hair and put a Taser to my head,” she said.

Quinn said he feared for his life and tried to run away, but he wasn’t strong enough to get away from the female suspect. She kept honking her horn, hoping someone would hear her, but no one came. Quinn said her attacker then ordered her to drive.

“She made me drive, put a Taser to my head, pulled my hair, and told me to drive,” she recalled.

The suspect then reportedly threatened to attack Quinn’s children and mother. Quinn continued driving and eventually arrived at a construction site. She claimed that several bystanders witnessed the hostage situation but did not intervene.

“No one will do anything for me, so I start driving.” [again] And while driving [the suspect] “They shot me with a Taser and pulled my hair, which caused me to crash my car,” she said.

They stopped after her SUV hit the driver’s side, and that’s when she saw her assailant up close.

She said she immediately recognized the woman as a former housekeeper who worked for her. The woman was said to have disguised herself with a blonde wig.

The two women got out of the car and began scuffling. Quinn said she bit off part of her attacker’s finger during the argument.

Eventually, bystanders ran to help before the suspect fled the scene.

“My brain was shaking so badly that my body was shutting down and I thought I was either going to die or pass out,” Quinn recalled.

She suffered head injuries and was left with bruises on her arms and legs. She said the whole ordeal had been a living nightmare.

“I’m completely terrified,” Quinn said. “I don’t understand why she would do this.”

The incident was reported to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, which confirmed it is investigating the incident as a possible case of kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon.

The suspect, whose identity has not been released as no formal charges have been filed, remains at large.

Quinn said she is grateful to be alive and hopes the suspect is arrested soon.
