The two were hospitalized after being stabbed on a popular beachside walk route in Santa Monica early Saturday morning.
Police confirmed with KTLA that they responded to a report of a stab wound in the 1700 block of the Ocean Front Walk around 2:26am.
The two victims were found to be suffering from stabbing injuries, according to the Santa Monica Police Department. Authorities did not immediately provide the extent of the patient’s injuries.
Unconfirmed reports show that the victim was a brother and sister, but police did not provide further information regarding the victim’s identity.
The first responder took the patient to a local hospital. There, he said that SMPD remained stable as of Saturday afternoon.
Authorities did not say whether the suspect was in custody or identified for the stab wound. However, unconfirmed reports show that the attack appears random, with potential suspects seen fleeing the scene after the crime.
