Detectives who busted a methamphetamine conversion lab in San Bernardino found items that included a ghost gun, a stolen car and more than 50 pounds of drugs, officials said Saturday.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, officers arrived at the 400 block of South Sierra Way around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, in response to an investigation of illegal drug activity in the city.
Law enforcement teams executed a search warrant at the scene, and the department said they located and recovered illegal narcotics and controlled substances believed to be in possession for sale, as well as an illegal assault weapon and a stolen vehicle.
The finds included three assault rifles, two deserialized assault rifles (ghost guns), three semi-automatic handguns, nine pounds of crystallized methamphetamine, 25 pounds of liquid methamphetamine, five pounds of cocaine, 20 pounds of marijuana, and ” It included a large sum of money from the United States. currency” and five stolen vehicles.
Details were limited, and the department did not immediately say whether there were any arrests or if any suspects were listed in connection with the drug bust.
Further details about the location were not released, other than that the department said it was “identified as a small-scale clandestine methamphetamine conversion laboratory.”
Officials say the investigation is ongoing.
