Students were evacuated from Ventura High School Friday afternoon following reports of bombs on campus, authorities said.

“We are in touch with the Ventura High Family, but we have received many calls from other schools, so we want the community to recognize that Ventura High School is responding to the currently reported bomb threat,” the Ventura Unified School District said in a statement.

Dozens of law enforcement officers responded to the school, and aviation footage showed children escorting from classrooms to school parking lots.

“At this point, avoid the community and allow law enforcement to do their job,” the district said. “The safety of our students and staff is our number one priority.”

No injuries have been reported.

The district said it will update parents and staff.

“We would like to thank our students and staff for following all law enforcement instructions and lockdown protocols,” district officials said.
