The two teenagers on scooters were hospitalized in danger after causing the wrong collision in Orange on Tuesday night.

The teens were on a single electric scooter and travelling on the other side of the road on Hughes Street, the orange police department said.

At about 2:05pm, the scooter collided with the passenger side of the approaching Tesla Model Y near Hughes Street via Laldo Avenue.

The teens who were not wearing helmets at the time were seriously injured by the impact.

They were taken to a local hospital where they remained in danger Tuesday night.

Sky5 footage from the scene showed police tapes looming through most of the residential area near where the crash was dropped.

The Tesla driver stayed on the scene and assisted in the investigation. Police said neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be the cause of driver crashes.

Details of the case, including the age and identity of the teenager, were not released as the case remains under investigation.
