Standing with Texas legislators gathered in Illinois this morning, Democratic National Committee Chairman Ken Martin has pledged that the party will “bring the knife into the fight of the knife.” The Republican-controlled House will also issue a civil arrest warrant for absent members immediately, with Gov. Greg Abbott saying he will try to get absent lawmakers in office if he does not return. The House Oversight Committee issued subpoenas to former Judicial Officers for testimony in the testimony of former President Bill Clinton, former Secretary of State and Joffrey Eptein. The committee also summoned the Department of Justice for records relating to Epstein. House Republicans are beginning to face violent city halls as they try to sell Trump’s sweeping tax and spending laws.
