The bear temporarily chased the mascot of professional hockey Seattle Kraken in a furry showdown before the Grizzly Goon skated the ocean trolls unharmedly.
Official costume cheerleaders for the NHL’s relatively new franchise in Seattle, Bui and Kraken’s John Hayden spread the goodwill of the team in Alaska and fished at Katmai National Park.
That’s when the furious mammals appear to be under attack and force Bui, Hayden and their linemates to clear the zone.

“We got some bears and some close calls while we were fishing,” Hayden said.
The growl took some offensive steps towards the buoy, but abandoned the pursuit.
Hayden joked that he wanted the animals to see a good look at the buoys wearing regular game-time costumes along with the fisherman’s coveralls.
“I want to blame it on buoys. They were pretty interested in his overall look,” Hayden said. “We got out of it, but it was a close call.”
The North American Blackbear family at Warburn Safari Park in Ridgemont, UK, explored the lake in enclosures after being frozen.
