Video shows a speeding driver narrowly missing a group of people on bicycles in a tragic scene on the road in Los Angeles’ Mid-Wilshire neighborhood.
Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call from bicyclists around 2 p.m. Saturday. The video shows a white Mercedes-Benz sedan weaving past cyclists traveling in the same direction on Olympic Boulevard.
At one point, a Mercedes-Benz was driving the wrong way down the road.
The person recording the video can be heard yelling at cyclists to be careful.
Another video, also posted on Instagram, shows several people crashing a driver’s car in a parking lot less than a mile away. Los Angeles Police Department said the incidents are related.
The Los Angeles Police Department said it was aware of the video.
Officers responded to a report of vandalism in the parking lot. The driver was questioned but no arrests were made, the Los Angeles Police Department said, adding that authorities were gathering additional evidence and working to understand the sequence of events.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
