An Orange County juvenile man was arrested on suspicion of murder after the 21-year-old man was found in his apartment earlier this week, officials said.

A news release from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office posted on Instagram revealed that violence unfolded at a mosaic apartment in the 27,000 block of Camden, Mission Viejo, just before 2pm on April 9th.

The victim, identified as Christopher Bahenbayron, now 21, was found by a family member bleeding on the sofa inside the apartment.

Deputies spotted a young man with a chest wound from the obvious stab wound and attempted life-saving measures until a medical worker with an OC fire agency arrived and declared the victim had died, sheriff said.

Investigators quickly established boundaries in the area and found physical evidence showing the suspected juvenile who lived in the apartment.

A video of the scene obtained by KTLA showed the heavy presence of lawmakers and investigators.

Others were seen in the back seat of the sheriff’s patrol cruiser, but it is unclear whether it was a juvenile suspect.

“Based on interviews conducted by investigators and evidence from the scene, the juvenile man was arrested and booked at the Orange County Boys Hall,” the release elaborated.

No further information was provided regarding the incident, including any motives that could have resulted in a fatal stab wound.
