Attorney General Pam Bondy on Tuesday called the violent streak of vandalism against Tesla’s vehicles and showrooms “domestic terrorism.” This is an issue that Democrats have been opposed for years. Fox News Digital asked 13 Democrats who sponsored the law to combat domestic terrorism if they agreed to the Bondi distinction. None of the lawmakers responded.
The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force is investigating ongoing Tesla attacks across the United States from Oregon to Massachusetts. Tesla cars and facilities have been destroyed in at least seven locations. What began as a protest against Elon Musk and his government efficiency (DOGE) escalated to violent incidents, including shots fired on the building, windows of smashed dealers and charging stations set up in the fire.
Former President Joe Biden’s administration launched its first-ever national strategy to counter domestic terrorism in 2021, particularly on January 6th, identifying domestic terrorist threats in the aftermath of the U.S. Capitol attack.
Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill, and 10 Senate Democrats introduced the 2023 Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act. The 2022 Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act targeted domestic terrorism, focusing on the fight against “white supremacists and neo-Nazi invasions.”

Despite Democrats who led activism against domestic terrorism during the Biden administration, the democratic response to the ongoing Tesla attacks has been markedly silent. One Democrat, Rep. Locanna (D-Calif), urged his colleagues to condemn Tesla vandalism in the X-Post last week.
Elon Musk, who is “shocking” at Dem, “supposes hatred and violence,” and “laughs the “confusing” attack on Tesla plants.”
“There is zero tolerance for vandalism against Tesla. It’s wrong to spray “Nazi cars” or lighting fires and light fires on dealers and chargers. period. All Democrats should condemn that,” he said.
Currently, while refusing to condemn Tesla vandalism, Democrats have not missed the opportunity to voice opposition to domestic terrorism in the past.
“As I said on many occasions, regardless of ideology, I condemn all violence,” Durbin urged her colleagues in 2023 to support domestic terrorist prevention laws.
“We must act decisively to deal with the poison of white American hegemony and domestic terrorism. It’s poison, cancer, it’s destroying our society. It shouldn’t be a partisan issue. It’s not a democratic issue or a Republican issue.

“We are deeply concerned about funding domestic violent extremist activities in the United States,” says Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif. Former Senators Sherrod Brown and D. Ohio; And former MP Josh Gottimer, DN.J., said in 2022 he is seeking a review of how extremists in the country are being funded.
Waters has yet to ask for an investigation into how Tesla’s protests are being funded as many conservatives have recently denounced left-wing billionaire George Soros, billionaire Democratic mega donor and linked co-founder Reid Hoffman, and others, pointing their fingers at liberal activist groups, including Mask, who denounced the bankroll, claiming they “defeated masks.”
In 2021, Sen. Adam Schiff of D-Calif said in a Facebook post that “domestic terrorism is one of the biggest threats to America.”
“It’s time for our laws to catch up when hateful ideologies promoted the safety and security of Americans in American soil rather than international terrorist organizations,” Schiff said in 2019.
D-Wash. Rep. Pramila Jayapal said last summer, following the first attempt at assassination, which President Donald Trump should condemn “all political violence” and added that she herself was a victim of political violence.
After the New Year’s terrorist attacks in New Orleans, Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer, DN.Y., said in X:
Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, DN.Y., called for accountability in 2022 on those who committed white supremacy, considered a form of domestic terrorism.
“The white hegemony is taking countless lives from El Paso to mother Emmanuel and now Buffalo. The victims’ hearts are broken, and we call for accountability to Congress and social media people who commit this deadly ideology.”
Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel appeared to be laughing at Tesla bandarism during Tuesday’s show.
“People are destroying Tesla vehicles, destroying new Tesla vehicles. Don’t destroy, don’t destroy Tesla vehicles,” Kimmel said.
A conservative social media account posted the clip, saying “Jimmy Kimmel wants more Tesla attacks.”
“He’s a really troublesome jerk,” Musk replied to the post.

Bondi on Tuesday said the Tesla attack was “nothing but domestic terrorism,” and the Justice Department has already filed several charges.
“The swarm of violent attacks on Tesla’s property is nothing but domestic terrorism. The Department of Justice has that in mind for several perpetrators, including cases involving five-year, forced lowest sentence accusations. It is based on the statement, including coordinating these attacks, by continuing to investigate the serious consequences of those behind these attacks.

No serious injuries have been reported, but the rebel cyberattacker posted an interactive map of the Tesla owner’s name, address, phone number and email. Bondi told Fox News on Wednesday to Will Cain that the Justice Department considers the attacks to be part of an organized effort.
“We’re coming after you,” Bondy said on “The Will Cain Show.” “We believe these are organizers, and these are not individuals across the country doing this themselves. They are targeting Tesla owners. They are targeting Tesla dealers. They are targeting Elon Musk, who is trying to save our country. That.”
Violence against Tesla car owners and facilities has skyrocketed over the past few weeks. Anti-Eron Musk protesters continue to destroy and destroy electric vehicles with violent crimes against Trump allies.

Videos circulating on social media show footage of individuals spitting, keying or setting up Tesla vehicles across the country. “Smile, you’re on camera,” Tesla wrote in a post on X on Thursday, revealing that there are “at least seven cameras around each car.”
One victim, Avi Ben Hamo, a Jew from New York, recently sought accusations of hate crimes against the man who caught painting a Nazi symbol on a cyber truck.
White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt has called on Democrats to condemn the attack, denounced “vicious violence” against Tesla.

“The Democrats are a massive supporter of Tesla and electric vehicles, and Elon Musk has decided to vote for Donald Trump. So, this heinous violence that Democrats have seen came out, and said at a press conference Wednesday. “And the Attorney General believes she said she was investigating these cases as domestic terrorist acts.”
Three individuals have been charged in a federal lawsuit after using Molotov cocktails to violently attack Tesla properties around the country in an act of “domestic terrorism,” Bondi announced Thursday.
“The days of committing crimes without consequences are over,” Bondy said. “Let’s make this a warning. If you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla’s property, the Department of Justice will put you behind the bar.”
