Police officers responding to a reported domestic conflict in Fontana fatally shot the suspect who approached them with a firearm.
According to the Fontana Police Department, Cole was born from an apartment in the 9100 block of Dale Avenue. The time for the call was not disclosed, but authorities said they came on Sunday morning.
“On arrival, officers tried to contact us at the residence,” Fontana police said on social media. “When the door was opened, the suspect pointed the officer to the firearm and urged the officer to shoot involving the officer.”

Medical assistance was provided on-site and the suspect was taken to a local hospital. However, he died of injuries there.
His name has not been released.
Police confirmed in a social media post that the firearm was recovered from the scene.
The main investigation is being handled by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office, but Fontana Police also conducts its own internal management review.
None of the injuries were injured in the incident.
