The driver was reported to be in critical condition after his car crashed and ended up in a car wash, requiring rescue by the Los Angeles Fire Department on Saturday evening.
According to LAFD, the patient’s vehicle collided with another vehicle near 15100 West Parsenia Street in North Hills just before 5 p.m.
After the accident, the patient’s car “stopped” at a car wash, authorities said.
Initial calls to the fire department reported that the driver was trapped in the car wash and required automatic evacuation maneuvers.
However, crews who arrived at the scene to check the scene said no patient was trapped, but they had to manipulate a dumpster to get it safely to the ground.

LAFD said the driver was transported in serious condition “due to the mechanism of injury,” and an additional adult male was diagnosed with minor injuries.
Details are limited, and firefighters have not said what caused the crash or whether occupants of other vehicles were injured or were at the scene.
