The Department of Homeland Security on Wednesday doubled Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an illegal immigrant and suspected of having members of the MS-13 gang been deported to their home country in El Salvador.

The agency’s comments came amid criticism from US lawmaker Glen Evie (D-Md.), who tried to visit Garcia on Memorial Day. Ivy initially posted a video to X about his visit attempt, and he represented Abrego Garcia and said that the Salvadora government had turned his efforts into stone tools.

He urged Homeland Security Secretary Christie Noem on Wednesday to present evidence in court that Garcia is an illegal immigrant. Democrats claim that despite years of being in the United States, Garcia was denied a legitimate procedure when he was deported.

“Let’s be transparent. Kilmer Abrego Garcia will never be on the streets of America again,” states X’s Homeland Security Agency. “It is horrifying to defend illegal aliens, MS-13 gang members, human traffickers and wife Beater over actual Maryland members who have been victimized by illegal alien crimes.”

Since his deportation, several Democrats have tried to visit Garcia at the El Salvador prison where he is being held to conduct a wellness check.

The Trump administration pointed to evidence that Abrego Garcia was involved in MS-13 and human trafficking. He also cited court documents that detail the alleged physical abuse of his wife, Jennifer Vasquez Sula.

Meanwhile, Democrats describe him as the “Maryland man.” The “Maryland Man” explains that he was not given his legitimate procedure in court before being deported.

“If you have nothing to hide, cut the crap. Let him be his lawyer and I’ll check him out,” Ivy said in his video message. “I am a member of the House of Representatives representing Kilmer, and after making a formal request to the Salvadoran government through the ambassador, contacting the ambassador, I came all the way down from America. I’m here to visit him today.”

Fox News Digital has contacted Ivey’s office.
