San Bernardino County officials have announced that the man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the fatal blow that occurred while he was affected.
A media release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff said the crash occurred just before 1am on April 19th.
When the first responders arrived at Bear Valley Road west of Mesaview Drive, they found the deceased.
He was identified as Willian Castrovargas, 32, of Victorville.
“It’s been decided [Vargas] SBSD said it was “stricken by an unknown vehicle.” [and] The vehicle’s front-end struck pedestrians as they crossed the road. ”
Further investigation into Hit and Run led to the identification of the suspect: David Scheinovik, 59, of Phelan.
Sinovic was arrested after the Victorville Police Department and SBSD provided warrants at home.
“After extensive investigation, investigators learned that David Sinovik drove a 2013 Chevrolet Impala when he attacked and killed Willian Castro Vargas,” officials said. “Investigators have gathered evidence that Shinovik was under the influence of alcoholic beverages at the time of the crash.”
According to SBSD, he was booked at the High Desert Detention Center for murder and felony hit and run.
