A man was killed in Noco on Monday afternoon after being dragged and kicked out during the vehicle theft, Riverside County Sheriff’s officials said.

Lawmakers responded to an ongoing theft call at a gas station on Hidden Valley Parkway before 12:30pm. Witnesses told authorities that the male suspect was taken to the driver’s seat of the vehicle while the owner was partially in the rear seat. The suspect still drove the victim into the car, dragged him, and eventually kicked him out.

Emergency workers rushed the victim to a nearby hospital and later died of injuries.

Authorities discovered the stolen vehicle after some time, and the person believed to be involved in the incident is in custody. The Sheriff’s Department said the investigation remains active and has not released further details.

Lawmakers have established a large crime scene for investigation – spanning hidden valley parkways, gas stations, and riverside areas near Pork Street and Magnolia Avenue.

The victim’s identity has not been released.

Anyone with additional information or video footage related to the case is advised to contact the authorities.
