Los Angeles officials chase the driver Friday night.

Police said the driver was being asked to rob, but that may have been armed with unconfirmed reports. There may be multiple suspects in the car.

The pursuit began just before 10pm, according to Alhambra police, and the unit identified the vehicle as a suspected vehicle they wanted in a Temple City robbery.

The unit engaged in pursuits, but quickly retreated as soon as the car began driving irregularly.

Chase was seen passing through downtown Los Angeles around 10pm.

At one point, the driver was seen pulling and getting out of the car before chasing at least one passenger. LAPD did not immediately confirm whether the passenger was detained.

Drivers were seen driving mostly on ground streets, turning cars towards approaching lanes and passing through traffic lights. As the pursuer approached the pedestrian on the crosswalk, he saw the pursuer flashing light.

Sky5 is overhead.

Gil Leyvas of Ktla reported that he had heard that officers were not involved in Pit Maneuvers at 10:30pm, as the suspect may be armed. Instead, police worked to establish boundaries around the pursuit.
