A federal judge ordered the recovery of American Voice (VOA) on Tuesday, a federally funded national network that was demolished by the White House earlier this spring.

Judge Lois Lambers has ruled in favor of the plaintiff’s request for a temporary injunction, which the Trump administration is permitted to appeal the decision.

The plaintiff asked the court to “cancel an order to place approximately 1,300 VOA employees on administrative leave,” and “cancel the termination of the contract between VOA and approximately 500 individual service contractors (PSCs), halt the dismantling of the VOA and restore the VOA personnel and operational capabilities.

President Donald Trump claimed that he dismantled the communications agency through an executive order (EO) in March, and that the VOA promoted biased reporting.

“The following non-uniform components and functions of government agencies shall be excluded to the maximum extent consistent with applicable law, and such bodies shall reduce the statutory functioning and associated staff performance to the minimum presence and functions required by law,” EO said.

EO also dismantled the US Global Media Agency, the parent company of VOA, and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.

“Voice of America has been stepping off from the US for years. It serves as a radical American voice and has pushed divisive propaganda for years,” a White House official told Fox News Digital at the time.

Trump has announced plans to cut down the Magnolia tree, which Andrew Jackson is allegedly planted: “We have to come to an end.”

On March 22, VOA employees filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration and Lake Kali. Lake Kali served as a special advisor to the US Global Media Agency.

“In many parts of the world, there is no more important sources of objective news, leaving only news media sponsored by censored countries to fill the void,” the lawsuit reads.

“The second Trump administration has taken a chainsaw overall to the agency in order to try and shut it down completely,” the lawsuit said.
