Protesters gathered outside the home of Illinois Gov. JB Pretzker on Wednesday, and thought Homeland Security’s Department of Crista Noem had a presser around the property.

Director Noem held a press conference in Illinois on Wednesday, but was more than half a mile away from the governor’s mansion and was able to “scream” the protesters in the wind.

“I’m not entirely sure that the protesters are protesting (I don’t know if they know), but we’re standing with all the victims of illegal immigration crimes, why were they screaming in front of the governor’s mansion.”

“Committee Noem went to Springfield, Illinois to join the Angel Family, calling for the end of the policy of a dangerous sanctuary city under JB Pretzker and turned his attention to the massive illegal foreign murderers who have been circumventing justice for two years due to Emma Schaefer’s stab wounds.”

When protesters cried outside the Pretzker mansion, Noem’s presser was brought by illegal immigrants who are being sought to claim first-degree murder of three people and aggravated home batteries, when 24-year-old Emma Schafer (25) was stabbed to death by 25-year-old Grabriel Calix Pichard. Pichard reportedly was dating Schafer at the time of the murder.

Noem is also joined by Denny McCann and Jimmy Walden’s “Angel Family.”

McCann was crossing the street on foot as he was attacked, killed and dragged by Saul Chavez, an illegal immigrant who drove drunk. Chavez was arrested and charged with reckless murder, exacerbating his DUI, but disappeared for 11 years after being released on bonds. He was not arrested until 2022.

Walden was killed when an illegal foreigner who had previously been deported twice crashed into a Walden motorcycle in Maryland. His father lives in Illinois.

The Presser’s purpose was to highlight the national sanctuary status and to call on potential presidential candidates to “relinquish these dangerous sanctuary policies.”

Pretzker responded to the Presser in a statement Wednesday.

“Unlike Donald Trump and Christy Noem, Illinois follows the law,” the governor of Illinois explained. “The Trump administration is violating the US Constitution, denying legitimate procedures for people and eradicating law-abiding neighbors, including children who are US citizens. But they have not taken any real action to promote public safety and enforce violent offenders within a well-defined legal process.”

“The Illinois have sent a clear message to Trump’s nuisances and will not ruin us without resisting,” concluded Pretzker.

The governor’s office alleged that Chief Noem had changed her schedule to dodge the protesters. “Even though he is in Illinois today and falsely accusing him of not following the law, Secretary Noem and her team have not communicated with Illinois about immigration law enforcement,” communications deputy chief of staff at Communications told Fox News Digital.

“Because the governor’s office oversees the governor’s mansion, the secretary initially planned her promotional stunts at the governor’s house, but decided to move,” Hill said. “We would have hoped that she would not be afraid to speak to Illinois people who exercise their constitutional rights, but it would not be surprising given her lack of ability to follow the constitution.”

Pritzker’s office also sent a statement from Emma Shafer’s parents, Cathy Schwartz and John Shafer to Fox News Digital.

“It’s not only extremely painful for us to see her being used by Norm and others to advance her cruel and heartless political agenda. It’s an insult to her memory. Noem’s words are directly at odds with who Emma is as a person.” “Parents don’t have to experience the loss of their children. But every time her name is brought into these conversations – a conversation she would have nothing to do with — we have to relive the pain of her death.”

Schwartz and Shafer were unable to speak to Fox News Digital at the time of publication.
