Santa Monica police are seeking the public’s help in pursuing two men who broke a glass door at a coffee shop in an obvious robbery attempt.

After 4:30am on Monday, two men entered Amai Coffee at 1701 Pico Blvd.

“While no stolen items have been reported, the mandatory entry caused about $1,000 in damage to the store,” police said.

Police described the man who escaped in a white or silver sedan like this.

Suspect 1: Man, average build, wearing black sweater, black face mask, blue jeans and black shoes. Suspicious 2: Men, average build, black fila sweater (white lettering), red face mask, black pants, black shoes

Police believe the break-in could be linked to previous robberies at a coffee shop and T House, a nearby business, about three months ago.
