Daniel Park, the accused accused in the Palm Springs fertility clinic bombing, died after committing suicide inside downtown Los Angeles Federal Detention Center, according to a new report by the Los Angeles Times.

Citing two sources familiar with the investigation, The Times reports that Park, 32, fatally jumped off the Metropolitan Detention Center’s high interior balcony around 7:30am Tuesday. He was found not to respond to staff and was taken to a local hospital where he was declared dead.

Authorities have not publicly confirmed the cause of death. The LA County Medical Inspector’s office has yet to release an official sentence, and the U.S. Prisons Bureau says efforts to save lives have failed as the park was discovered to be unresponsive. TMZ first reported the death as a suspected suicide.

Park served in federal custody less than two weeks after his arrest at JFK International Airport in New York on June 4th. Authorities say he has returned from Poland.

Bartkus was a bomber suspected of explosives outside the American Reproductive Center in Palm Springs, causing extensive damage, but saved reproductive material stored inside.

Federal prosecutors alleged that Park had supplied Berthos with more than 270 pounds of ammonium nitrate, a key chemical used in explosives, and visited him at Twentin Palms earlier this year. The FBI says Park shares Bartos’ anti-ideology.

Daniel Jong Yong Park, 32, is shown in undated images provided by FBI.guy Edward Bartos, as seen in photos released by the FBI.

Park was charged earlier this month with malicious destruction of property and providing material support to terrorists. Six packages of ammonium nitrate came from shipments from parks in Washington, according to court filings.

He was held in pretrial custody and had not yet entered the plea. The FBI and US Marshall Services are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
