Tennessee lawmakers are recovering after being kicked “accidentally” by a horse over the weekend and smashed one of their ribs.

According to sources, R-Tenn. Rep. Tim Burchett of the company feels “it’s okay now” and there are no changes to his schedule.

“Rep. Burchett was accidentally kicked by a horse while working on his farm over the weekend,” according to a statement from spokesman Will Garrett. “He’s got a broken rib and it hurt, but he’s not missing the beat.”

Burchet told Fox News correspondent Chad Pargram that the horse’s tail landed on the horse’s tail, which scared it.

The horse kicked Burchet in the chest “with both hooves,” leaving him with the unique fighting wounds.

“That’s a cool mark,” Burchett told Pargram. “I was messing around with the idea of getting a tattoo.”

Lawmakers revealed the situation, but he added that doctors said he was “lucky.”

Burchet spoke in Morley County, Tennessee on Monday night, and held full district events throughout the week.

Burchett’s office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
