Jonathan Bush, cousin of former President George W. Bush, shows the potential for a Maine governor’s run, outlines a policy vision that will blow up what he calls the state’s “learned helplessness” and bring back the “Main Dream.”
Bush’s message, published for his nonprofit, Maine, provides a preview of how he frames his pitch with voters.
The Bangor Daily News reported that former President Bush and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush had recently attended a small fundraiser for Jonathan of Kennebunkport.

Several prominent Democrats have already sought bids, including Angus King III, Hannah Pingley, Secretary of State Shena Bellows and Senate Speaker Troy Jackson. Meanwhile, Republicans face fragmented fields, with several candidates attracting attention in the party divided between populists and moderates added to Trump, analysts told Newsweek.
One of the Gallup votes on January 21st shows both Bush’s potential and his hurdle.
