If you find a 7-foot-high spammusubi down the city of LA, you don’t imagine things. In a partnership with supermarket giant Kroger, the iconic lunch meat brand widely loved in Hawaii, the Philippines and South Korea (yes, for reasons related to American imperialism) celebrates the National Spammus Bi Day (August 8th), depicted in food trucks of larger creatures like Hawaii’s iconic Handeld style. Earlier this year, Spam began selling sushi products at the Kroger Property Sushi Counter, including various locations in Ralph, one of the most visible front-post bases of corporate grocery stores in LA.

On Thursdays from noon to 2pm, there will be Mousbi Mobile at Ralphs at 260 South Lovelair Avenue, one of the closest areas to Miracle Mile and Grove. Then, from 5pm to 7pm, Musubi Mobile appears at West LA, Ralphs, on 11727 West Olympic Boulevard. Tomorrow, National Spammusbi Day, Musbi phones will appear at Ralphs at 2600 West Victory Boulevard in Burbank from noon to 2pm. With all three pop-ups, LA shoppers can get free samples of Spam Musubi and Norimaki, play outdoor games and pick up spam coupons.

For those who can’t get Musubi Mobile directly, don’t worry. Now they have earned Spammusbi in LA County and Ralphs stores in other countries, and have digital coupons at other Kroger’s front post bases, redeeming free samples until Saturday, August 9th.
