“There have been great progress!” Trump wrote about the true society. “I have since updated some of my European allies. Everyone agrees that this war must come to an end. We will work towards it in the coming days and weeks.
During their discussion, Putin told Witkov that he wanted to meet with Trump.
“As President Trump spoke about the true society today, great progress has been made at the special envoy convention with Putin,” said White House press chief Caroline Levitt. “The Russians have expressed their desire to meet President Trump, and the president is open to meeting both Putin and Zelensky. President Trump hopes that this brutal war will be over.”
Ukrainian President Voldimir Zelensky said he spoke with Trump along with other European leaders on Wednesday.

“European leaders were calling, so we thank each of them for their support. We discussed what was spelled out in Moscow,” he added. “Ukraine will definitely protect its independence. We all need lasting and reliable peace. Russia must end the war that began in itself.”
Trump has pledged to help end the war between Russia and Ukraine.
In mid-July, Trump promised to enforce “very strict” tariffs on Russia if Putin does not sign a contract with Zelenskyy within 50 days. He then pushed up the date within 10 days of July 29th, enforcing a new deadline for Friday.
On Tuesday, Trump returned a 100% tariff threat amid tough trade talks between India and China.
